Upon meditating on the Word of God, reading the KJV over the years I have come to the conclusion the faith we need is specified in Romans 10:9, 1Corinthians 15: 1-4, the Gospel. When people debate Faith only, Faith & works blah, blah, blah. I would suggest that we worship in Spirit and in Truth, realizing that we are the called out assembly - the church, not a building built by hands. The works are we do are as if void if it isn't associated with the fruit of the Spirit, to even suggest our merit would be consumed as if it were wood, hay, and stubble. I am not qualified to teach, don't ask me to; but I only want to leave the gospel here to help others start off on the right track without losing faith.
