Some people will accuse you of ulterior motives, some others will soil your reputation for standing for what's right. Just ignore them when that time comes and lead your life. Let nothing distract you, don't quit or cave in when people turn on you - even your loved ones.
When an idea is attacked - whether good or bad - it spreads like wildfire. To combat an idea, you must come up with superior idea. Superior ideas, ideas that are creatively and intelligently deployed, rules the world.
