RE: Arise And Manifest

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

If the times are dark, its because our Lord wants them dark. If there is light it is because he makes it so. We don't have power over light and darkness. We only have the choice to love God or not, believe his word or reject it. Your words suggest its up to us to shine light in this world but this contradicts the very passages you quote. Its up to God.

Romans 8:36 "As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

Sort:

No this is not totally true.
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Whatever is darkness is not the character of God

Darkness is the absence of the knowledge of God. But the original poster used the word in a different context as suffering or poverty. He asks for a miracle from us sinners. What miracle does he expect? If God doesn't shine his light through us, we ourselves are powerless and empty. Its not up to us "to start manifesting". We have no light on our own. Jesus is our light.

Rightly put sir. It is God who is at work in us, both to will and to do.
