오늘은 '누가 당신의 눈물을 닦아줄 것인가?'란 제목으로 한번 생각해보도록 하겠습니다.
Let's talk about who will be there to comfort you and wipe your tears away.
제가 살아왔던 인생이야기는 더러 이야기를 하거나 칼럼으로 써서 적지 않은 이들이 저의 굴곡진 삶을 알고 계실 겁니다.
If you have read my columns, you would be familiar with how my life has been, how many ups and downs I went through till now.
아버지가 사업에 실패하여 대학을 졸업할 때까지 우유배달을 하며 학비를 벌어야했던 고단한 청춘시절과, 장교로 임관하여 부대에서 근무하면서 BOQ(장교숙소)귀신이라는 별명을 들으며 하루 10시간 이상 공부하며 절치부심하면서 재기를 노렸던 세월들이 허망하게도, 삼십대 초반에 사업에 실패하여 너무도 일찍 끝나버린 제 인생은 그야말로 인생극장이 따로 없었죠.
Long story short, my life was pretty dramatic. My father's business failed, so I had to work throughout my college years, delivering milk to households. I was named 'The Ghost of BOQ' while serving in the military as a lieutenant spending 10 hours a day to study and see if that will get me anywhere. But life was cruel to me; all that hard work was a lost cause. Life threw me and my busienss down onto muck when I was in my early 30s. (Note: In Korean culture, the term 'ghost' is referred to someone who never leaves certain place.)
그러나 그게 지금의 삶을 돋보이게 하는 아름다운 배경화면이 될 줄을 누가 알았겠습니까?
But who knew all those failures would become the background pictures that will emphasize my beautiful life today?
필자의 지금의 삶은 너무도 행복하고 평안합니다.
My life now is full of happiness and peace.
이 사역을 시작한지 3년이 채 되지 않았지만, 15년이 넘는 세월동안 아내와 찬바람이 부는 재래시장과 식당가로 저가화장품을 잔뜩 실은 손수레를 끌고 다니면서 방문판매를 했던 시절조차 아름답게 느껴질 정도입니다.
It has been less than 3 years since I've started this ministry. It's a short time, but already, my 15 years of misery in the past (including but not limited to selling low-price cosmetic products with my wife) seems beautiful now.
과거가 아름답게 생각되는 것은 지금의 삶이 평안하기 때문일 것입니다.
I feel my past as great or beautiful is because my present is peaceful and wonderful.
그래서 저처럼 누군가가, 당신의 눈에서 하염없이 흐르는 눈물을 씻어주고 계십니까?
So... like how God wiped my tears away, is there someone that comforts you and wipes tears off your face?
한나가 마음이 괴로워서 여호와께 기도하고 통곡하며 서원하여 이르되 만군의 여호와여 만일 주의 여종의 고통을 돌보시고 나를 기억하사 주의 여종을 잊지 아니하시고 주의 여종에게 아들을 주시면 내가 그의 평생에 그를 여호와께 드리고 삭도를 그의 머리에 대지 아니하겠나이다 그가 여호와 앞에 오래 기도하는 동안에 엘리가 그의 입을 주목한즉 한나가 속으로 말하매 입술만 움직이고 음성은 들리지 아니하므로 엘리는 그가 취한 줄로 생각한지라 엘리가 그에게 이르되 네가 언제까지 취하여 있겠느냐 포도주를 끊으라 하니 한나가 대답하여 이르되 내 주여 그렇지 아니하니이다 나는 마음이 슬픈 여자라 포도주나 독주를 마신 것이 아니요 여호와 앞에 내 심정을 통한 것뿐이오니 당신의 여종을 악한 여자로 여기지 마옵소서 내가 지금까지 말한 것은 나의 원통함과 격분됨이 많기 때문이니이다 하는지라 엘리가 대답하여 이르되 평안히 가라 이스라엘의 하나님이 네가 기도하여 구한 것을 허락하시기를 원하노라 하니 이르되 당신의 여종이 당신께 은혜 입기를 원하나이다 하고 가서 먹고 얼굴에 다시는 근심 빛이 없더라 그들이 아침에 일찍이 일어나 여호와 앞에 경배하고 돌아가 라마의 자기 집에 이르니라 엘가나가 그의 아내 한나와 동침하매 여호와께서 그를 생각하신지라(삼상1:10~19)
In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the LORD, weeping bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “LORD Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” As she kept on praying to the LORD, Eli observed her mouth. Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.” “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the LORD. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.” She said, “May your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast. Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the LORD and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the LORD remembered her. (Samuel 1: 10-19)
위의 내용은 여러분도 잘 아시는 한나의 이야기이죠.
This is the famous story of Hannah.
한나는 마음을 찢는 통곡의 기도를 하나님께서 들어주셔서, 그의 원수를 갚게 해주셨고 갑절의 은혜를 주어 삶을 행복하고 형통하게 해주셨으며, 그녀가 눈물의 기도를 하여 낳은 아이가 이스라엘의 마지막 사사이자 위대한 선지자였던 사무엘이었습니다.
Hannah prayed with her whole heart, and God listened. He blessed her to live a happy life, full of his grace. She even gave birth to the famous prophet, Samuel.
그래서 당신은 하나님께서 당신의 눈물의 기도를 들어주시고, 당신의 눈에서 하염없이 흐르는 눈물을 씻어주고 계십니까?
So... Is God listening to your tearful prayers and wiping your sorrow away?
제가 하나님의 은혜를 입고 삶을 평안하고 형통하게 해주셨으며, 갖가지 성령의 은사를 받아 사역자로 세움을 받아, 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 고치면서 영혼을 구원하는 사역을 하고 있다는 것은 여러분도 잘 아는 사실일 것입니다.
My life was restored and repaired by God's grace. I live a happy, peaceful life, and I became a leader by the power of the Holy Spirit, saving souls of people, driving away demons and all kinds of illnesses.
그러나 그게 전부가 아니죠.
But that's not all.
제 눈에서 눈물을 씻어주신 하나님께서, 필자에게 하나님을 부르는 기도를 훈련하라는 사역을 맡기신 것입니다.
God comforted me and gave me a mission to teach people to pray whole-heartedly.
그래서 인터넷의 카페와 블로그 그리고 유투브 동영상으로, 저처럼 세상에서 해결할 수 없는 삶의 문제가 있는 사람이라면 누구나 찾아오라고 하고 있어요.
So through websites, blogs, and YouTube, I tell people to come to CSA if they have problems they cannot solve.
제가 해왔던 하나님을 부르는 기도를 하면 누구나, 하나님께서 찾아오셔서 기적과 이적으로 눈물을 씻어주시기 때문입니다.
If people follow what I tell them, whomever it may be, God will come to them and comfort them with miracles and wonders.
그동안 천여 명이 넘는 사람들이 이 기도훈련을 동참했으며, 수백 명이 넘는 사람들에게서 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 치유하였고, 지금은 백여 명이 넘는 사람들이 영성학교 공동체를 이루고 있습니다.
Over 1000 people participated in the prayer training, I have chased demons and illnesses out from hundreds of people, and now, about 100 people have created the community of CSA.
그러나 오늘 이 이야기를 또 다시 꺼내는 이유는, 여러분의 눈에서 눈물이 마를 날이 없다면 제가 권면하는 하나님의 부르는 기도를 해보시라는 것입니다.
I am repeating my story about CSA again and again, in order for you to hear me out and try praying and calling out to God, if you have unbearable issues in life.
성경에는 하나님께서 자녀의 기도를 들어주시고, 삶의 각종 문제를 해결해주신다는 약속의 말씀이 널려있죠.
In the Bible, God promised us he would listen to our prayers and help us when in need.
그래서 당신이 그 약속을 믿고 기도를 하지 않았던 것은 아니었을 것이예요.
I'm pretty sure you prayed, believing in that promise.
그러나 아무리 기도해도 응답이 없었기 때문에 중도에 포기했을 것입니다. 그 이유는 당신이 하는 기도로서는 하나님의 마음을 움직일 수 없기 때문이죠.
But you probably have given up after a while, after you realized your prayers are not being answered at all. The reason for it is that you weren't able to move God in any way.
작금의 우리네 교회지도자들이 가르치는 기도방식으로는 아무런 일이 일어나지 않습니다.
Nothing will happen if you pray according to what the churches teach.
하나님은 희생적인 기도를 원하시는 것이 아니라 기도하는 사람의 마음입니다.
God does not want any sacrificial act of prayer. He wants people's true love for him.
한나는 통회하는 마음으로 모든 것을 내려놓고 울면서 하나님께 인생과 생명을 드리겠다는 결단을 하고 있죠.
Hannah put everything down, cried and called to God, determined to give all her life.
그래서 여러분은 그런 마음의 태도를 보이고 계십니까?
So do you show God your effort to meet him?
그게 새벽기도회에 참석하고 금식기도를 하며 작정해서 기도하는 것입니까?
Attending various services in church, fasting as you pray... are those deeds to show?
하나님은 여러분의 기도행위가 아니라 마음의 동기와 속내를 불꽃같은 눈동자로 지켜보십니다.
He doesn't care for how many hours you put in; he sees how much you really want to meet him.
하나님이 원하시는 것은 여러분이예요.
What God wants is you.
그러나 여러분을 하나님께 드릴 생각이 없이, 오직 문제해결에만 매달리고 있을 뿐이죠.
But you don't want to give yourself up to him; you just hang onto the problems to be resolved.
그런 기도로는 아무런 일도 일어나지 않습니다. 하나님이 외면하시기 때문입니다.
With that type of mentality, nothing will happen because God will look away from you.
하나님이 원하시는 기도는 상한 심령이고 낮고 가난해진 마음이며, 죄를 자복하고 철저하게 회개하면서 하나님만을 구하는 기도입니다.
The prayer God wants is from the bottom of your heart, accepting the fact that you have nothing to hold onto, confessing your sins, repenting, and asking for God's presence.
그래서 영성학교에서 훈련하는 하나님을 부르는 기도가 바로 그런 기도이죠.
And that is the prayer CSA trains.
그래서 날마다 쉬지 않고 전심으로 하나님의 이름을 부르면서 하나님이 찾아오시기만을 간구하는 기도의 습관을 들이는 것입니다.
So you should call God's name desperately and ask him to come into your life. You need to do that daily.
그러나 이 기도는 생각보다 쉽지 않죠.
But it is not as easy as you would think.
하나님은 마음의 속내와 동기를 불꽃같은 눈동자로 지켜보시기 때문입니다.
God always looks at your heart and can see what you really think and what your true motives are.
그래서 여러분에게서 그런 마음을 읽었을 때 비로소 존재감을 드러내십니다. 영성학교에서는 그런 수준의 기도를 혹독하게 훈련시키고 있습니다.
He won't come to you unless you really mean him to come. And this is what I train at CSA.
그래서 여러분이 처한 불행한 삶이 너무도 고통스럽고 힘들다면, 그래서 교회에서 하라는 것을 이것저것 가리지 않고 해보았고, 문제를 해결해준다는 교회나 기도원을 찾아 헤매었지만 여전히 고통 속에 있다면, 제가 훈련하는 기도를 해보시기 바랍니다.
If you have tried praying according to what churches have taught you, but do not have any progress in your life and still live in misery, please try praying the way I tell you.
굳이 영성학교에까지 오지 않아도 됩니다. 다음카페의 크리스천 영성학교를 찾아가서, 게시판의 글들을 읽고 집에서 해보시기 바랍니다.
You don't have to come all the way here. You can visit our website, read some of the posts and pray at home.
그러나 전심으로 쉬지 않고 하셔야 할 것입니다.
But you will have to do it whole-heartedly.
그러나 귀신이 드러나는 증상이 보이면 혼자 하기 어려울 것입니다. 그렇다면 영성학교를 찾아오세요.
However, it may be hard to overcome all the demons revealing themselves. Come to CSA if you need help.
그래서 저와 코치들의 조언과 코칭을 받으면서 훈련하신다면 한결 수월할 것입니다.
It would be easier with coaches to help you.
오늘 제가 이 말씀을 드리는 이유는, 하나님은 당신의 눈에서 눈물을 닦아주시기를 원하시고 계신다는 것을 알려드리기 위해서입니다.
I am giving you this offer because I want you to know that
그러나 그 기회를 잡는 것은 오로지 여러분의 몫이예요. 한나도 통곡을 하며 하나님께 기도하여 하나님의 마음을 움직였고, 저도 오랜 세월동안 하나님을 찾는 기도의 습관을 들여 성령과 동행하는 삶을 살고 있죠.
You are the one who chooses. Hannah prayed with sorrow and moved God. I trained to pray desperately and live with God by my side.
그러므로 하나님께서 여러분에게 손을 내미실 때 기회를 잡으시기 바랍니다.
So please hold onto God when he give you a chance.
다시는 이런 기회가 평생 오지 않을 지도 모르기 때문입니다.
You may never have another chance.
