YOUR WORD IS POWER!!!!

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13,KJV)
The Bible is replete with examples of powerful declarations from the prophets of old. They understood that the words that a man speaks are not mere words but are actually full of power of manifestation. Scripture says that Elijah, the prophet, declared that there should be no rain for thee and half years, and it happened just as he said. (James 5:17). Israel also made declarations into the destinies of his children and everything happened just as he prophesied. (Genesis 49). We see in Genesis 9:24-27 how Noah pronounced a curse on the life of his son Ham and it manifested without wavering. These happenings were because the prophets and the patriarchs of old understood the power of the spoken word.
Words that proceed from your mouth as a believer carry weight. That is why you should be very particular about your confessions. Luke 6:45 declares, “ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good……” Jesus, knowing the power of his words, said in John 6:63 that “… the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” Jesus’ words accomplished great feats because he believed and spoke those words.
Any word you speak that does not produce effect is referred to by the scriptures as ideal words. For this reason, believers are cautioned in Matthew 12:36 that “… every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” The Greek word for “idle” in the above scripture is “argos” and means barren and inactive. Thus, an idle word is a word that is spoken without producing the intended effect.
For a person to get born again, he first believes and then confesses what he believes. Scripture says in Romans 10:9&10, “ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. “ The heart is for believing and the mouth is for confessing what is believed. Just as a person comes into Christ by believing in his heart and confessing with his mouth, it is the same way that the things that are freely given in Christ are also accessed; by believing and confessing them.
Mark 16:17 declares that: “ And these signs shall follow them that BELIEVE; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall SPEAK with new tongues. “ When you believe, you will speak. The outflow of new tongues is an expression of the heart. Child of God, believe the words that you speak for they carry inherent power. As you walk in the consciousness of this truth, you would begin to see amazing results. Your words carry your power. Shalom !
