Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day/Fête de la Saint-Jean-Baptiste

Its this day of the year, when Quebecers for a single day (I know, its a day for all French speaking Canadians, but it has special meaning in Quebec), feel proud of their own people .

Me being the "Raging Canadian", its time for some "rage" and I'll add my own description: A people that worked tirelessly to improve the lot of their families, despite the institutions imposed upon them, only to sell it all to the devil for chump change within a single generation, reducing the ever diminishing amount of children they had into slavery.

The slow suicide of a once proud people.

But its all good, because you only have to be merry, drink a few beers and dance to forget it all, young man!

If you had to boil down Quebec History within a song, it would be this one :

I hate this song with a passion!

Version Francaise :
