Because of Bethlehem ! (an original poem)
A baby boy was born long ago
In a small city named Bethlehem
His birth remains the mystery
Even the noblest can't unravel
The whole city was caught up
By the great masterpiece of divine awe
Keeping the revelation secure and hidden
Unnoticed even by the so-called elites
The star they had been longing for
Roamed the city in its ever shinning light
People were asleep but the shepherds awaken
It was the hand of grace that pointed in their directions
Declaring the joyful manifestation of the long-awaited hope for all mankind
The shepherd boy first appeared to the shepherd men
Who were guiding, feeding and abiding with their flocks
In the severity of the winter they bore
All the pains just for the comfort of their tender flocks
Such a perfect illustration and great insight
Revealed the heart of a perfect savior that the world needed
Ever since then, many restless souls have found true rest
In his ever abiding bossom giving warmth and love
The gentle lamb still beckons today
With his soft and gentle voice proclaiming
....i am the light and life
Because he had once bore the burdens of the whole world
So you can trust him to lift yours with his powerful finger.
