I think I see it... It's not so much about the fact that its comfy, but rather it's about a personal esthetic statement, and that makes you feel like you're in your element. Its a material representation of a lifestyle.
The bigger question though, is why you still haven't got one?
Ah, the answer to why I don't have one is simple: FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. At least for a genuine one, custom made to the vision I have in my mind.
what 5K? naaah! what about all the other stuff you'll need to chase this one with? This sofa wont stand alone - its going to make you buy the full scene.
I have the antique camera! Its in my office though.
The dramatic paintings? Already have those in the hallway. I wrote a post about those not too long ago.
The other objects ill take on notice... or accept anonymous donations.
hahaha ok, I see you have a plan! well, hopefully we will all get our wish-list buys fulfilled with this bull run.
Oh, those wish lists are a different game all together. Time will tell. I would much rather have the independence and security of not needing a steady income source over having a fancy couch.
Different types of comfort. Different types of vulnerabilities.
hopefully both! what's why we're here.
