Reposting content is taboo, it is seen as double dipping.

If you want to repost to a community, use the crossposting option on peakd.com, this automatically declines rewards on the subsequent posts.
You can also set the second and later posts to burn so that your curators still get their rewards for voting it and you don't lose the visibility associated with declining rewards.

You can do as you please, of course, but there are people that get paid to look for this, and they won't likely give you a warning, you will be lucky to not lose your entire weeks rewards as a punishment for violating this rule.

If that happens, don't get emotional, just chalk it up to lesson learned and carry on like it didn't happen.
Replying to their comments with contrition is the best course.
Blowing up will bring out the folks that don't care.

The standard is original content, every time.
Some, though fewer, look for non-original memes, too.

They make this a blanket rule because giving an inch will lead to some taking a mile.
It's much easier to just apply it to everybody, except the select few.
We are trying to hold them to this rule, too, but they can wipe out the rewards of anybody that takes on the bite to chew.
We need more stake in our consensus to force them to follow the rules everybody else has to follow, too.

How is this reposting content? This is the show, the show notes are a different post. I also post this to 3speak which is a different post. This is a unique post.

It appears you are right, I shouldn't post when I am drunk.
