Sometimes the only way to stay sane is to go a little crazy
Today's film is one that I had heard about several times, but I had never seen it yet because I thought it was a head movie, with several things to think about, after all the stuffed cast I saw in the trailer made me have this conception, until watching

Cast
It is impossible not to stop at least to consider watching when seeing that the film has names like Winona Ryder, Angelina Joli, Brittany Murphy, Jared Leto and the great Whoopi Goldberg.
With one and a cast of weight like this, I was a little afraid to be one of those works where good actors come together and the film itself is in the background as was the case with Movie 43, the second worst film I have ever seen in my life , behind only Skeleton Man that destroyed my adolescence with such mediocrity the film. (I had only one movie option to rent at the time, and I made that bad choice and I might have a new chance just a week later).
When I watched it, I saw that the cast did a lot of justice to what he proposed and it is certainly a work where in the end everyone ended up bigger in relevance than when they started recording, excellent performances, and of course, applause for the director who also knew how to conduct the film with excellence.
Mistrust on my part
When I heard about the film, I came to mind One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest from 1975 starring the master Jack Nicholson, and it was a film that I liked a lot, so because the theme is similar made me have a certain fear of watching and ending preferring more Girl than Nest, and another certain fear of being bad and I end up linking to each other and finding the two bad.
Obviously a total headache, there are very few relations between the films and I believe that what resembles the most would be the internation issue and the conflicts that occur there.

This scene by itself is literally a dialogue between crazy people, but for a moment you start to think that they are not crazy, after they are and you remain in this doubt even after they change the medicine and Jolie's character finds the chicken , then again I thought that they were all crazy.
Lisa always seems to be in her own reality, no matter if she is in a hospital or an ice cream parlor, she remains herself (not making a judgment about whether it is good or bad). She outlines her goals and goes after him, in a place where she has several patients who have no more hope, that is to run against the current, and psychiatric doctors do not like improvised behaviors, because they do not know how to deal with the patient, and this brings more wealth for the character and for the plot.
That is the question of many patients, who end up accepting that there is no answer, and just live life with their medications inside a clinic for the rest of their lives. What would be normal to happen to the character Lisa, but her personality does not allow it.
Final considerations
A film that is very worth watching, especially for those who like good performances. Since 1999, you will be able to enjoy the 'beginning' of the career of many actresses and notice how they are now and the great development they have had in their careers.

Certainly if she were alive she would have shone a lot, even more because of her profile she would certainly be in some new direction by Tim Burton or in some of the Superhero films that took place between 2010 and 2020.

Agora vamos aos pontos que me chamaram atenção no filme
Elenco
Impossível não parar ao menos para cogitar assistir ao ver que o filme conta com nomes como Winona Ryder, Angelina Joli, Brittany Murphy, Jared Leto e a grandiosa Whoopi Goldberg.
Com um e elenco de peso como esse, me dava certo receio em ser uma daquelas obras onde juntam bons atores e o filme em si fica em segundo plano como foi o caso de Movie 43, o segundo pior filme que eu já vi na minha vida, ficando atrás apenas de Skeleton Man que destruiu minha adolescência com tamanha mediocridade o filme. (Eu tinha apenas uma opção de filme para locar na época, e fiz essa péssima escolha podendo ter uma nova chance apenas uma semana depois).
Quando assisti, vi que o elenco fez muito jus ao que propôs e certamente é uma obra onde ao final todos terminaram maiores em relevância do que quando começaram a gravar, excelentes atuações, e claro, palmas para o diretor também que soube conduzir o filme com excelência.
Desconfiança da minha parte
Quando ouvi falar sobre o filme logo me veio a mente One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest de 1975 estrelado pelo mestre Jack Nicholson, e foi um filme que eu gostei muito, então por a temática ser parecida me fez ter um certo receio de assistir e acabar preferindo mais Girl do que Nest, e outro certo receio de ser ruim e eu acabar vinculando um ao outro e achar os dois ruins.
Obviamente total nóia da minha cabeça, há pouquíssimas relações entre os filmes e acredito que o que mais se assemelha seria a questão internatória e os conflitos que lá ocorrem.
Melhores citações
Essa cena por si só é um diálogo literalmente entre loucas, mas que por um momento você começa a achar que elas não são loucas, depois que são e você fica nessa dúvida até depois que elas trocam o remédio e a personagem da Jolie encontra o frango, ai novamente voltei a achar que todas eram loucas.
Lisa parece estar sempre em sua própria realidade, não importa se ela está dentro de um hospital ou em uma sorveteria, ela continua sendo ela mesma (não colocando juízo de valor se isso é bom ou ruim). Ela traça seus objetivos e vai atrás dele, em um local onde possui vários pacientes que não tem mais esperança, isso é correr contra a corrente, e médicos psiquiátricos não gostam de comportamentos improvisados, pois não sabem como lidar com o paciente, e isso traz mais riqueza para o personagem e para a trama.
Essa é a pergunta de muitos pacientes, e que acabam aceitando que não há uma resposta, e apenas vivem a vida com seus medicamentos dentro de uma clínica para o resto de suas vidas. O que seria normal acontecer com a personagem Lisa, porém sua personalidade não lhe permite isso.
Considerações Finais
Um filme que vale muito a pena assistir, ainda mais para quem gosta de boas atuações. Por ser de 1999 poderá aproveitar o 'começo' da carreira de muitas atrizes e notar como elas estão agora e o grande desenvolvimento que tiveram em suas carreiras.
Deixo essa postagem como um agradecimento a Brittany Murphy (1977-2009) que está muito bem no filme, e que infelizmente faleceu. Certamente se estivesse viva teria brilhado muito, ainda mais por conta de seu perfil certamente estaria em alguma nova direção de Tim Burton ou em algum dos filmes de Super Heróis que ocorreram entre 2010 e 2020.
