Give me some sunshine

This is for the contest by Cine TV and Rising Star Game. The contest is to write about my favorite song and best use of a song in a movie. The song is called "Give me some sunshine" by Singer Suraj Jagan from the bollywood movie "3 Idiots". The lyrics and guiter sounds are exceptional.

3 Idiots is a 2009 hindi movie starring Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi in the role of 3 friends who graduated from a engineering college in India. The movie currently enjoy 8.4 Imdb rating and a 100% on rotten tomato.

The movie starts with two of the friend trying to find their third friend who disappeared from their life after graduating a decade earlier. There is a lot of drama and flashbacks to their college life. The movie is a satire on the Indian education system and the pressure exerted by the society to succeed at any cost.

The song backdrop is a classmate of the three friends who couldn't complete his drone project in time. The student contemplate suicide as his parents and society will be ashamed of him if he fails. This song portrays his angst and frustrations

Below are some portion of the Lyrics with rough translation
Saari umar hum mar mar ke jee liye (till now, we live an incomplete life)
Ek pal to ab humein jeene do Jeene do (Let me live fully for a moment)
Na na na….Na na na….Na na na….Na na nana na….

Give me some sunshine
Give me some rain
Give me another chance
I wanna grow up once again

Kandhon ko kitabon Ke bojh ne jhukaya ( shoulders are bent by the weight of the books)
Rishvat dena to khud Papa ne sikhaya (bribery is taught by my father only)
99% marks laaoge to ghadi, varna chhadi (watch if you get 99%, otherwise be beaten by a stick)

Likh likh kar pada hatheli par Alpha, beta, gamma ka chaala (my hand are bruised by writing formulas)
Concentrated H2SO4 ne Poora bachpan jalaa daala ( whole childhood is burned by Concentrated H2SO4)

Bachpan to gaya Jawani bhi gayi (Childhood is gone, even my youth is gone)
Ek pal to ab humein Jeene do jeene do (Let me live fully for a moment)

In my opinion, the best use of a song in a movie is to bring the plot forward. This song put the message that students are not able to enjoy life due to high study pressure put by parents and society in a impactful manner.
