Pit fire kiln experiment number two is underway using hand shaped clay we dug up from our yard.
This fire is HOT! Inside I’ve got a full tea set with tea pot, square cups, and serving tray. I still need to find a good watertight sealant to use. Any ideas? The recommendations I’ve seen online vary from natural approaches to (no joke) floor sealant (which I may actually try).
Here’s a link to the first experiment.
During the process my old chair broke. :)
Been rocking a beard since our trip to Colombia. My wife hates it. What do you think?
Taking another turn at the pottery lottery.
Looks like you got the beer bit right, so off to a great start.
