I create magic boxes. These are boxes or containers that allow me to put everything in them and clean up my space quickly. The important part is addressing what's in the magic box. Not following up though can add to the craziness and eventual guilt you feel of not putting things away. I agree with the suggestion of a standalone closet. I have one and it's been great when closet storage is non existent. Under the bed too. Get bed risers to help give you more space. I have more suggestions for space savers beyond the room if needed. But if anything the key is to use your vertical space instead of horizontal space
