Climate Change

It’s my belief that climate change is going to wreck nations around the equator where it’s already quite hot. The largest danger is to nations who rely heavily on fishing for sustenance whose populations have grown such that there is no room for error. Once you can only feed 95% of your population you’ll have riots/a massive crises. Nations will fight over dwindling fishing areas. And other nations won’t have enough excess to give. And these are heavily populated areas, Indonesia 285 mil, Philippines 116 million, Vietnam 100 mil, etc. Not to mention south Asia which has 2 bil people.

Of course Africa will be hit too. We might see a massive migration of people and wealth as everyone flees desperately to nations that will take them that appear safe. Which will primarily be the EU/West as they are the least affected by climate change, have friendly immigration policies that accept poor refugees, and most able to deal with it.

We’ve focused way too much on how climate change affects land without thinking too much on how it’s going to affect marine life. And the west cannot provide enough aid to nations that are 2x their population nor can refugee programs handle what will happen once 2 billion+ need refuge.
