Relax, the World *IS* Going to Burn

Before we start, I want you to do me a favor. Go on YouTube or just put on your headset and listen to this playlist. You will probably have few seconds before skipping a grammarly add first.

I just want share news with you, one is bad, the other is great.

The bad news, the world is going to burn and then drown.

There's absolutely nothing you or anyone can do about it

We as human never really learned how to be content, being content meant our death. And that's okay. Gathering food fruits and vegetables was never enough, so we started hunting it, that wasn't enough either. But do you know what? If that wasn't okay, God, fate, call it whatever you may, wouldn't have struck down the predictors that would stopped us and kept us in check with meteors.

What other permission did we need to know it was okay?

We then moved to farming, it wasn't enough, so we built factories, processed, canned, bottled, wrapped our food. And we kept going and now we seek our original food. That means it is the end, we've completed a circle.

We wanted to know the why, the what, and the how of the universe, and now we do. We wanted to get there faster, and now we can. We wanted entertainment and now we have more than enough for a thousand life time. What is left to learn? What is left to build? We are building and paying billions to create robots to replace us in the only productive things we can do, work.

Let me tell you the most freeing thing you will ever read, it is over, the fight is over. If we cut all carbon dioxide emission today, there will be a reduction of 0.17 Celsius of the INCREASING degrees. The fact is, the climate change nightmare everyone is trying to avoid has already happened.

The fact remains that the clean energy and carbon dioxide conversation being discussed now is the most useless conversation ever. And when I say "fact" I mean it by all what the word means.
Yes, you have all the right in the world to make yourself feel better by sharing videos of Greta Thunberg asking "How dare you?" all you like while calling wildfires in mismanaged forests as a result of climate change. It is horrifying and you deserve to feel better.

The only way to prevent people from suffering is to somehow invent something in the future that would make the climate colder. Otherwise, all the talk about green deals, Paris accord, and other bullcrap agreements and debates are a waste of time and are used only for people to get likes, media to get views, and politicians to get votes.
We could literally start taking bikes to work, turn off our ACs, and close every factory and would barely gain extra day or two as a result. So don't waste your and anyone's time anymore.

We can't save the planet, and it's arrogance for anyone to think we can. The choice to ruin it wasn't made today or the day before. The decision to ruin the planet was made the moment the first car was invented, the first train took, and when the first tree to burned to make me writing and you reading this post possible. We chose to consume, you don't get to disassociate from it while online, that is childish and immature.

We wanted to consume and we did, we consumed everything on the planet, and eventually the planet itself. We sold every source of power on the planet, and now we are selling clean energy that will do nothing to save the planet and paying billions for it. Simply put, we sold everything on the planet and now we are selling its death.

You want to leave a better future for the children? And leave them with the burden of trying to prevent the world from ending? How selfish of you?

It was a race with the devil. If we don't create better weapons, he would. If we don't create a better economy, he would. There's nothing we could have done, there was always a devil beat. And the fight won't end until we both die as the race after all is mandatory, and the end of the race was damnation.

You could see it as we won and marvel at all the technological advantages, those excellent 4K better than real quality. Keep going up with your eyes as you look at the skyscrapers until the clouds prevent from seeing its end. Read the book you always wanted to read, watch the shows and movies you wanted to watch, and play your favorite video game with your friends. Then replace that anxious worry you are feeling, and relax, the world is going to burn. The fight is already over, now you are free to do anything.

I am not sure the science is so clear about that. I think there is a max capacity of C02 the planet can have in it's atmosphere. If that capactiy is reached, the planet will heat up faster and faster. But if we suddenly stopped most C02 emissions and planted billions of highly effective C02 storing trees and/or algae reserves, we would never reach that threshold.
I know this will never happen, but if China, Russia, India and America actually agreed on this, I think we could stop it from happening, at least for the next 500 years.

What you are talking about means the loss of at least a billion of jobs, 650 millions in India and China alone. The cascading effects of that would hurt billions of people. 30% of the workforce is already due to be lost to machines by 2030. It is arguable that what it takes to stop climate change would cost more than if we don't.

That with the assumption that those billions of people will be on bored, which most aren't as they make way too little to be safe after losing their jobs.

Grab a beer and just watch the world end.
