Makes sense now I see the reason behind the centralized heating in most cities , albeit we are way overdue for a update to those systems , I do believe that local heating would be ideal , if the added cost of pollution is negated in some way.
Fire has its place in our world , but it has served it's purpose for the general majority and I have to agree that coal is a unclean and costly method , even if it's cheap , the technological advancements and infrastructure needed to render it useful without being a pollutant is a cost equal to other forms of energy production.
It would be nice to filter the gases somehow. And stop the unnecessary pollution. It would be deal since all the electricity plants and factories would at least stop harming the surrounding ares with heavy particles.
