双方对等交易是应用区块链技术而创生的数字币(如比特币等)技术特质的精髓。
此点对彼点(PtoP)，就是将信息由此到彼或由彼处到此处的交互。我这里发送信息到你处，你处发送信息到我这里。
“汇兑”是汇款人委托银行将其款项兑现支付给收款人的结算方式。以前，汇兑分为电汇和信汇两种。在这两种汇兑结算方式中，信汇花费的费用较低，但速度相对较慢；而电汇具有速度快的优点，但汇款人要负担较高的电报电传费用，因而通常只在紧急情况下或者金额较大时才用。另外，为了确保电报的真实性，汇出款项的银行在电报上加注汇兑双方约定的密码；而信汇则不须加密码，签字即可。
传统的汇兑方式是：
汇款：此汇款方<=>银行<=>彼收款方
或者，
汇兑方式是：
汇款：此方<=>银行<=>彼方
比特币技术的诞生，银行是个“多余项”。比特币采用 PtoP 方式，即“彼此汇兑”方式：
汇款：此方<=>彼方
所以，PtoP 含义就是双方对等的彼此汇兑。
PtoP，彼此对等，不是所谓的“皮二皮”(P2P)！
