香港遊踪 #1 - 竹林禪院拜四面佛|Hong Kong To Walk #1 - Chuk Lam Sim Yuen to worship the Phra Phrom

大家都知道泰國的四面佛很出名，有不少人都會慕名的去拜一拜，去祈求好運。即使是沒有宗教信仰的人，也都會特意的去參觀一下，去看一看佛像的工藝，參拜的情境。對許多本來就計劃去泰國的人來說，要去參拜一下大概不難。但若果單單為了參拜而特意的去泰國，感覺上又有點誇張了。

We all know that Phra Phrom from Thailand is very famous. There are a lot of people visit and worship the Phra Phrom. Even if you don’t believe in it, you would properly visit and see the art of the Statue, and feel the atmosphere over there. For those who planned to visit Thailand, it seems not a hard job to visit the temple. But if you need to plan a trip over there only for worship the Phra Phrom, it seems a bit over.

不過不用怕，因為今天的這個帖子就是要告訢大家其實在香港也可以參拜四面佛的！在香港可以參拜四面佛的地方包括：荃灣竹林禪院、沙田古巖淨苑，跟九龍城的城南道；而今天我想跟大家分享香港荃灣的竹林禪院。

But don’t worry, today, I would like to tell you that you can worship the Phra Phrom even in Hong Kong! You can worship the Phra Phrom in Chuk Lam Sim Yuen (Tseun Wan), Ku Ngam Ching Yuen (Sha Tin), South Wall Road (Koeloon City). And today, I would like to share Chuk Lam Sim Yuen to you.

竹林禪院位於荃灣的芙蓉山，最直接到達的方法就是在荃灣的兆和街坐85號小巴，它會直達竹林禪院的門口。但要注意的是這輛小巴大概15到20分鐘才有一班，而且排隊的人不少，而車程大概5到10分鐘，所以你要多預留一點時間了。

Chuk Lam Sim Yuen is located in Fu Yung Shan in Tseun Wan. The most direct method to visit there is taking the mini bus 85. It takes around 15 -20 minutes for the waiting time, and about 5-10 minutes for the ride. So, you should have some more time as a buffer if you are in rush.

要是大家身體佷壯健，想要走動一下的話，你也可以走路上去的。路徑為先到荃灣地鐵站，然後往綠楊新村走，再向上走到白霸田村，然後再往芙蓉山方向走就是了，我想大概走半個多小時吧。但因為我比較懶，所以一直沒有走過…有機會的話就出個帖子直播一下吧。

Or if you are strong enough and would like to take a walk, it is good to have a walk to there. You can first go to the Tseun Wan MTR station, then walk to Luk Yeung Sun Chuen. After that, walk to Pak Tin Pa Tsuen and then walk towards the Fu Yung Shan. I think it would take around 40 minutes for the walk. As I am too lazy, I have never tried about it. Maybe I should make a video next time if I walk to this.

好了，小巴到站後其實很容易就認得到竹林禪院，因為一下車你就會看到這麼一個大牌坊。

It is not hard to find the location after you take off the min bus, as you can see a big block over there.

我們直直的走進去，先別理會你右手邊出現的第一條樓梯，再直直的走，你就會看到一座金色的佛塔，這就是四面佛的佛塔了。這是我星期天拍的照片，你看到佛像前面滿滿的蘭花嗎? 工作人員大概5到10分鐘就清理一次，要不然花就要倒下來了，所以你可以想像香火的鼎盛。

And we walk straight into it, and first ignore the stair on your right hand side, and walk straight into it. You can see a golden pagoda, and this is the pagoda of the Phra Phrom. This is the photo I take on Sunday, can you see those orchid in front of the Phra Phrom? And the staff have to clean it up around every 5 to 10 minutes, if not, that will be too much a fall down. So, you can know that it had a lot of people come and worship.

不知道怎麼拜怎辦? 沒關係，現埸會有工作人員教你，他們人都很好，我第一次去的時候完全不懂，也都是他們慢慢教我的。要特意買什麼供品去拜嗎? 要是你有想要供奉的供品你當然可以帶去，但不帶也沒有關係，因為那裏有許多小店有在賣供品，價錢我覺得也不貴。

If you don’t know how to worship the Phra Phrom, don’t worry, the staff over there is very nice, they will teach you how to do it. Do you need you buy anything for worship? If you have something want to give, of course you can. But you can also just buy all the thing you need in the store over there, and the price is not expensive.

比如說我這次買的供品包括蘭花、蓮花燈、金箔、香燭，價錢是150塊。然後你就可以參拜了。

Take the offering I bought as example, it include orchid, the lotus lamp, gold foil, and incense. And the price is 150 HKD, it’s not expensive I think.

讓我簡單的說一說參拜的流程吧，首先你把金箔交給工作人員替你貼在佛像上(記得在利是上隨心的放一點錢)；然後先順時針的把蘭花放在佛像四面(有些人說做偏門行業的人要逆時針的放，但是不是正統我就不知道了)，放之前每面拜三下；之後就放蓮花燈，也是每面拜三下；最後就拿著香燭許願，每面拜三下後，每面放下7枝香燭。若是第一次拜的話就直接跟工作人員說好了，他們人都很好，會教你的。

And let me give you a brief introduction of how should you worship the Phra Phrom. First, give the gold foil to the staff, she will help you to stick on the Statue, and remember to put some money into the red pocket. Then, take the orchid along with you and bow three times for each side of face of the Phra Phrom and put one down in each side of face clockwise; then do the same for the lotus lamp; after that, hold the incense and say you wish to the Phra Phrom, and put 7 incense on each side of face.

大家完成後就可以走了，不過難得來到竹林禪院，當然要參觀一下它的廟宇了。記得我上面提及過大家先不要上的第一條樓梯嗎? 它就是通向竹林禪院的主要廟宇建築群，大家有時間的話記得要參觀一下，他的建築跟佛像都很宏偉。

After that, you may just leave. But after all the long way to the Chuk Lam Sim Yuen, of course you should have a look on it. Remember the first stair I ask you to ignore at the beginning? It is the stair to the main building of the template. If you have time, you must have a look. The building and the Buddha Statue is so beautiful.

而禪院中也有涼亭、椅子之類的，大家可以好好的休息一下。

And there are pavilion and chair that you could have a rest.

所以，我建議大家有假期的話走路上去參觀一下吧！當作是行山加上參觀寺廟，不失為一個好節目。

So, I suggest you can have a walk over there if you have time, it could be a good exercise and a cultural visit.
