After much controversy, rants and hate on and about CNN the memewar still continues.
How it all began:
President Donald Trump, on July 2nd 2017, posted a video of him wrestling CNN and beating them in a fight:
this sparked a lot of controversy about CNN and how it covers fake news. YouTuber Philip DeFranco covers all of this well.
How did CNN respond?
CNN personally went after the creator of this gif Reddit use, HanAssholeSolo, and forced him to take it down "apologising" for all the "hate speech" he created. It is still unknown how they found out who he was but many suspicions that Reddit moderators just gave up his IP to CNN, as they have a history of disliking Trump supporters.
He was made to apologise and not post "hateful" content again but CNN say
we reserve to publish his identity if any of this changes
which shows, in my opinion, that he was blackmailed.
I want to take part but don't want the same happening to me, how?
It's simple really! Just use a VPN. A VPN is a bit like a proxy but encrypts your data too. It changes your IP so, if you are ever tracked, it'll just go back to the VPN server' IP instead of yours. This is particularly useful if you don't want to be hunted down like HanAssholeSolo. How a VPN works:
