I must inform you about Arabica Gayo Super Premium of Katoomba Coffee. It is a type of arabica coffee variety originating from the Gayo highlands, Aceh Tengah and Bener Meriah, two districts in Aceh, Indonesia.
There are many arabica gayo coffee beans in both of district because most of coffee farmers planted them in their garden.
Coffee beans that are processed to be premium are are the beans that have been dried in the sun (the sun is not on the cement floor), to avoid coffee absorbing odors or other properties on the floor and can affect the quality of being premium coffee later. The drying is carried out until the water content reaches 12% after 10 days intervals. And it goes through a sorting process where the defect rate is less than 1% (damaged coffee), for exports the defect is less than 8%.
The draining process of Arabica gayo coffee beans is different to Robusta coffee beans. You can see many robusta coffee beans are being dried during on the way to Takengon, a capital city of Aceh Tengah. And I can tell you that we need a special draining place for Arabica coffee beans.

And you must spend 75,000 IDR or $5 for 500 gram of Arabica Gayo Coffee Beans. You should not to worry about the negative effect of having this kind of coffee beans because Arabica Gayo Premium is produced from the selected coffee beans.
