Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) is thought to have first been classified by a Swedish scientist named Carl Linnaeus (Carl von Linné) in 1753. Coffee types that contain caffeine sebasar 0.8-1.4% originally originated from Brazil and Ethiopia. Arabica or Coffea arabica is the first coffee species found and cultivated humans until now. Arabica coffee grows in the area at an altitude of 700-1700 m asl with a temperature of 16-20 ° C, dry climates three months in a row. This type of arabica coffee is very susceptible to Hemileia vastatrix leaf disease (HV), especially when planted in areas with elevation less than 700 m, so in terms of maintenance and arabica coffee culture does require more attention than Robusta coffee or other types of coffee. Arabica coffee has now dominated most of the world's coffee market and the price is much higher than other types of coffee. In Indonesia we can find most arabica coffee plantations in Toraja mountain area, North Sumatra, Aceh and in some areas in Java.
