Out with old and in with the new and Shiny 10kg Batch coffee roaster

in #coffee4 months ago

It's only three years ago we replaced our old black 5kg batch coffee roaster with the new mustard yellow roaster - but the colour was not the only change like most things the technology had upgraded and it had new features like profiling so we can replicate exactly the roast for each origin.

Behold the latest addition to White Rose Coffee Roasters, the 10kg purple coffee bean eater. I believe the colour is actually supposed to be Red Wine or something similar, Meghan our Specialty Coffee Roaster who roasts on it all day every day chose the colour - what do you think?

For the latest generation Toper Coffee we have a whole bunch of new features, the touch screen profile system has been upgraded, with touch variable speed controls for drum and exhaust motors. The profile system allows us to set different drum and exhaust speeds throughout the roast - so we can fine tune each batch start to finish.

The chaff collector now features an auto discharge system - so we do not have to shut the roaster down at lunch time to empty the chaff. And the cooling exhaust is now separate from the drum exhaust. We used to have to wait for the coffee batch to finish cooling before starting a new batch because the cooling air went through the same outlet ducting as the roasting exhaust - and with the cooling on it affected how the roast progressed negatively. With separate cooling to exhuast to drum exhaust we can drop one roast and immediately start roasting the next while it is cooling. So we can roast twice the coffee, and we can roast more batches per day.

But let's take it all the way back to February 2017 when White Rose Coffee Roasters first started with the black 5kg coffee roaster

And it had to stay on the pallet it shipped on - because we had no way to take it off at that time!

Of course in April 2020 the Big Green 30kg batch coffee roasting machine - just when Covid hit - that was a fun time trying to get electricians and gas engineers to hook it up. And that really let us take on massive volume, it's our commercial customers roaster - the cafe's and coffee shops that munch through 30kg a week easily - like The Piece Hall in Halifax who's stores all purchase our coffee.

And then in late December 2021 the black 5kg batch roaster got an upgrade to the new Mustard Yellow 5kg batch roaster.

And we now had an Electric pallet stacker so it could be lifted off the pallet this time. I don't miss tripping over the pallet around the edge of the black roaster, it was all we could do at the time but it wasn't really user friendly.

So White Rose Coffee Roasters has really evolved since 2017, you can check us out at White Rose Coffee Roasters Website but we only ship within the UK - sadly export is far too troublesome - coffee is classed as food and most customs around the world just want to destroy the shipments because they do not allow food imports.

Hive Power Up Day - June 1st 2025

Must be one of the best jobs in the world having the roasted coffee beans smell all day long. You must love coffee and curious to know how many cups you consume a day lol. You are growing and that is good to see.
