This is nothing to worry about, and I'm happy with the decsion coinbase is doing. Pretty much they are saying no to the bitcoinabc fork, and remaining neutral with bip148. Segwit will be activated, and all will be well until the next issue arises. Also, I have previously voted you for witness :) if you have the time, look at more of my articles.
