Guys I did a ICO review on Coindash several days ago. A upcoming ICO that seemed very promising.
The ICO launched today. According to Coindash Twitter account they publicly announce the website Ethereum address ( I am asssuming) was changed and 5.5Million in Ether was lost.
The hacker must have got access to the cpanel and changed the address on the front end of the website they claim.

Coindash will release a official statement soon.
I've never seen this happen before but there millions of dollars at stake with ICO's so we shouldn't be surprised.

UPDATE 18th July After Hacking
Dear CoinDash contributors,
It is unfortunate for us to announce that we have suffered a hacking attack during our Token Sale event. During the attack $7 Million were stolen by a currently unknown perpetrator. The CoinDash Token Sale secured $6.4 Million from our early contributors and whitelist participants and we are grateful for your support and contribution.
CoinDash is responsible to all of its contributors and will send CDTs reflective of each contribution. Contributors that sent ETH to the fraudulent Ethereum address, which was maliciously placed on our website, and sent ETH to the CoinDash.io official address will receive their CDT tokens accordingly. Transactions sent to any fraudulent address after our website was shut down will not be compensated.
This was a damaging event to both our contributors and our company but it is surely not the end of our project. We are looking into the security breach and will update you all as soon as possible about the findings.
The CoinDash vision, product and team will continue to live on. We will be fast to recover and we will create the future of trading.
Reminder: We are still under attack. Please do not send any ETH to any address, as the Token Sale has been terminated.

This hacks are getting old and often, companies launch with no backend, just an idea and push it hard. When EOS launched, it boomed, highest ICO to date, then people scamming with fake sites, Tezos issues, now this. Brutal.

@nggavin that is crazy and this is the main reason why I wait for these things to hit the exchange now that way at least I know that they have taken the proper steps to at least get listed and are doing something other than sitting on the money if you know what I mean.

Even 'hacks' are suspect. Which governing body will review the transactions? Even if coins are returned value may not.
