As promised, today I will be sharing the colour RED.
The bright red colour is always associated with Love, Passion, Anger (see Red), good luck (for the Asian Chinese) and danger as a warning.
Because of it's bring colour, it can stir and stimulate our senses and metabolism, increase respiration rate and blood pressure. Bright RED is used for our traffic stop signs, fire engine, Danger signage and other signs associated with danger are painted in red.
The Colour Red is also used by many countries in their National Flag as one of the prominent colour. They associate Red to strength, power and energy to uplift their countryman spirit.
In some instances, we use Red to highlight what we want to bring across to the reader. And because of it's colour, the reader can react quicker giving it a priority to get this being actioned. The other reaction from the reader, can sometimes be emotionally upsetting as his/her senses are being stimulated in a negative manner.
Advertisers like to use Red to stir up erotic feelings like example, red lips, red sexy dress, red painted nails and red socking and shoes. When selling sport cars, the advertiser will use red to give it an energy and dangerous feeling. This is to enhance the feeling in the potential buyer that he is powerful and prestigious to own such a car.
For the Asian Chinese, Red represents Good Luck, Good Fortune, Joy and Happiness. Because of it's strong colour it is also believed that it will ward off evil and ward off bad luck. Red colour is still very popular and use in Weddings and other celebrations like Birthdays, House warming for new houses and New Office Opening celebrations. Red colour banners are being hung outside their stores / shops to bring in prosperity and wealth to the new business.
I am ending this post with these beautiful flowers, reddish in colour another shades of Red. These are the flower displayed at Crown Towers in Perth.
