This is our siling labuyo, a variety of chili originating from the Philippines. It used to be the hottest chili in the world back in the 1980's until the chili varieties in Trinidad and Tobago and in the South Americas were discovered. This is a staple ingredient in a Filipino kitchen, as Filipinos like to include this in dips (vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce, etc) for added spice.
