Fireweed explosion in front of Portage Glacier~ climbing up toward this glacier just outside of Anchorage, was incredible! The area was full of light in the summer and the sound of water within the glacier was dizzying! Fireweed flowers cover the hillsides as soon as the earth warms ad are spectacular! The upper parts of the glacier glowed in a deep aqua from within and the light play out here was sparkling.
