Living in the Middle East is wonderful when the sunshines for approximately 359 days of the year. Everything just seems easier when the weather is consistently sunny. You can make plans with friends the day before and everyone will show up. It's a totally different story when I visit family in the UK. We plan weeks in advance and at the last minute people will think nothing of cancelling. Sometimes it's weather related and other times I think people are just so stressed out that they want to hibernate at the weekends.
Where in the world are you reading this and have you experienced the same?
I think it is true about the sunshine changing our habits. When you know it's going to be fine and sunny it puts a zing in your step. The further north you go the less sunlight = hibernation lol
It's very easy to fall into the hermit lifestyle in the UK, especially when there are so many good TV shows available 🤓📺
