Section from a 1950's family quilt. Second photo is more true to the sky blue color.
Larger section of quilt framed in distressed wood. Quilt was made by Maude Lucretia Fuller-Duesler (1872-1971) around 1950. She was my grandpa's second wife's mother. Basically my Great Grandma but my mother would never put it that way. She would say simply Ruth's mom.

Cool piece to have of from your GGM.
Yes. I forget who in the family took the time to frame and preserve this old quilt but it also has a hand written note on the back by my great aunt with the history of the quilt.
Nice, a very cool piece to have.
An interesting post @steven-patrick. Do all your family members have a bit of the quilt or is it just you? 😊
Well I was trying to remember who framed these quilt sections. There is a note on the back dated 1995 from my great aunt. Too long ago for me to remember haha getting old. I think my mom or sister did it and all my siblings have a section.
How lovely, that you all have a section @steven-patrick. What a nice thing for your great aunt to do. I like that! 😊
@steven-patrick , thank you for sharing Your family heirloom :)
thanks for visiting my blog :)
That's a nice quilt!
I'm not much of a quilt person but I love to have this family memento. Lots of ladies in small town Kansas sat around making quilts from fabric scraps back in the day ;)
