I can easily say that I have stayed in quite a few hostels over the past few weeks, as I explore my way around various areas of South America. Each place has its very unique style and certain qualities that you wish were improved but eh... that is what budget travelling is all about - you take the time to enjoy the good ones and learn to appreciate them more when you stay at less than desirable accommodations.
This place was in Santa Marta and had a stunning small pool inside the hostel with a view from the roof looking down. I was blown away by the colours of the flowers that really gave it bit of a wow factor that you do not see too much when you pay less than $10 a night to stay.
Who would be tempted to jump in for a swim?
