Oh Cool! Today In History!!!!
Wow.. Has it been that long?! We didn't have cable in our house (as a kid) until around 1985/88ish. So nothing came across the big pond for us either. It wasn't until the 90's that I began to appreciate this work. I have several DVD's in my collection including The Life Of Brian and The History Of The World .. Part one and two.

The Life Of Brian is their best work in my opinion.
We didn't have cable either but this was on PBS every now and then. I was too young to remember what time of day it was on but I would guess early evening, probably before Dallas :P
I used to watch Benny Hill on PBS too :)
