Hello everyone today I would like to share with you about my favorite Silver Surfer qualities:
- Takes inspiration from Doctor Who, which I think is a very smart idea creatively as there's a weird amount of comparisons between the Doctor and the Silver Surfer (and doesn't do it in a heavy-handed manner, in my opinion)
- Gives SS kind of a slice-of-life romance story that's a lot more grounded than his previous romantic affairs because Dawn as a character is constantly keeping him on the level
- It's lighthearted and fun, which is really nice in a cosmic book
- Everything with the board is genius and I will die on this hill - namely the nickname and how the reflection works like a magic mirror, mwah :SilverChefsKiss:
- The 50th anniversary issue ending with Norrin saying "I stand with Earth!" is great because it takes that milestone to wrap up the thing of Norrin looking down on humanity and reviling it, even though he once saw Earth as a beautiful cornicopia of life
