Besides the independents, the major comic book players also had their fair share to promote on Free Comic Book Day. "Dawn Of DC: Knight Terrors" showed Damian's Robin experiencing some really bad dreams. Even when he thought he was awake he was still dreaming. The last thing he appears to remember is his father bringing Firefly and Killer Moth back to Gotham's infamous insane asylum known as Arkham. As any DC reader would know, many stories originate from this place.

He feels the need to check up on Hawke and Flatline. Dreams have a way of bring reality into a twisted universe and distorting your idea of what's real and what's not. A voice is filling Damian's head with untruths and false accusations. This preview is preparing their readers for a new limited series that will be introducing them to a new bad-guy named Insomnia. Joshua Williamson appears to have a good handle on the horror genre and I am ready for him to put these heroes to the test.

While the preview is way too short, the book does present some very cool artwork displaying some very interesting designs for our beloved characters. Contributing to these visual nightmares are Francesco Mattina, Jeremy Halin, Miguel Mendonca and Dan Mora. These contain outrageous depictions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Red Hood, Robin and Black Adam. I loved Marvel's Hulk when the stories became like something from the minds of your great horror writers. I love that DC is raising the bar!
