In Issue#101 of Batman, we see a changed Gotham crusader. Writer James Tynion IV and Artist Guillem March display a Batman that is reminiscing about his past. Commissioner Gordon, his partners in fighting crime and Alfred all come to mind. After his latest dealings with the Joker, the Batman is beginning to doubt himself.

Grifter is protecting Lucius Fox at Wayne Enterprises, which seems to confuse Bruce Wayne. The Joker's Army is no longer making their presence known. Without his past backing, Bruce Wayne tells Catwoman his plans of directly moving into Gotham, with Wayne Manor no longer being an option.

Feeling he can do a better job of tackling the crime in Gotham City, the Ghost-Maker makes his presence know. There is still a percentage of the city that call themselves the Grinners, whose facial paralysis is a reminder of their allegiance to the Joker. While they can be very lethal, another kid in a mask his hunting them down. However, he doesn't seem to play by anybody's rules.

2020 was a year that brought many new characters into the Batman storyline. Some of these include Punchline, the Clownhunter, the Designer, the Underbroker and Ghost-Maker. Ghost-Maker is a character that is written by Tynion to come out of Bruce Wayne's past. Jorge Jimenez and Tomeu Morey drew up the amazing cover artwork of #102. Ghost-Maker knew Bruce Wayne when they were both teenagers in Dublin, Ireland. Supposedly, they trained under the same Master and were both looking to learn some expert knife work. Oh, and did I mention that a Joker-less Harley Quinn is attempting to move into some new digs in Gotham City?
