Well, that's an interesting story, Ace. But at least it looks like the two are finally going to escape the town and avoid any further obstacles. I love happy endings!
That one sister looks a little queasy...
I guess either Wayne or I had forgotten that the flashback scenes would be done by a different artist (Gustavo Melo), and Wayne ended up doing a sketch for the page. It's interesting to compare the two. Wayne's Ace reaction is a little too over-the-top for the scripted thoughts, but I do like his pre-kiss panel. Take a look:
