It's appaling, but the truth is that he's not willing to change because he sees commenting as a method of making money and not engagement really, and the proof is in his comment section, education is not an excuse if you ask me. I wish he develops the right mentality

Proof is in his comment section!!!

Exactly @nathanmars I looked at a few of the previous reply even after being warned, he seemed to not take take correction after you've asked him to change, I know a few people who english is not their first language on the blockchain so there isn't any excuse for him we can cut him some slack if he tries to make a meaningful comment but makes a lot of mistakes but the fact that he is but the fact that he is not making any attempt to become better at his engagement activity is what I find very wrong and not the spellings

Time for some flagging then.
I don't like flaggin anyone(1 year only 2 flags)but some people deserve it.

I guess @nathanmars tried teaching him, but he still continued with the fake engagements

There are many people who post comment without understanding. For additional income. this is not right.
There are many people who are not well-versed in english. That is why the counter-commentary said.
I think @ urme33 can use google traslator to comment. In this he can think of his mind writing English.

I use Google traslator myself. You start this work from today. Each of your videos is very good. Just do not understand that there is no need to comnent brother.
You do not comment any more from today @urme33 brother

Be good best of luck @urme33 bro

Sir, I don't know about @urme33 whether he will going to put efforts to improve his English or not, and for me being uneducated is not the reason for it. I know many people personally who don't know english but then too they try to do a valuable comments on other post and also they are trying to improve themselves day by day. I, think maybe he can use Google translator too instead of giving the reason of education, really, at free of cost Google translator can help him a lot to improve his English also.
But sir, I really wanted to appreciate your efforts. Really sir you are doing very great work to improve each and everyone of the community, hats off to you sir😊😊

I truly know that it is not easy and simple to make a quality and meaningful comment when the video is done in another language. So in my case I try to add subtitles in English to my videos in Spanish to have not only greater visibility among the community, but also to receive true and appreciated comments to the content I make.

We can make any mistakes, but rectify is human ... here we are to learn and I thank that we have users like the friend @nathanmars among many others who are truly concerned about educating and driving users to be more committed and aposanados with its contents and that of the classmates when leaving a comment. My advice is for the friend who, depending on the language, try by the means to decipher the content of the same if he wants to leave a good comment. Hugs from Venezuela.

Then you've definitely made attempts, it's always imperative that we make attempts despite the obstacles or the shortcoming and this is paramount, cheers buddy

I can understand that English may not be his first language but that is a lazy copy and paste job and we can see right through his intentions!

We can bring it to light as you’ve done and we can encourage authentic engagement but we will always find people trying to take the easy way out

I also get that some users do come from traditional social media where generic comments are fine it’s more about numbers of interactions than quality

I remember their being a bot that scapes user comments and warns of bloat/generic and meaningless comments and downvoted it! I guess with RC’s it now stopped! I think if we can get that bit back and delegate to it, it might help! Some people need to be incentivized or a disincentive to adhere to the behaviors the community expert!

Thank you for a meaningful comment and I truly appreciated it!

I’m seriously thinking religiously to only upvote comments to change the culture of our Blockchain.

I value engagement so much and probably it’s about a time to start doing something about it.

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend:)

Seriously, this is a brilliant concept. Why ?? Because You can try to write a questionable post and maybe fool a few people here and there. But you cannot write a questionable Comment pertaining to others' posts and fool people. It's just not possible. People will call your arse out every time !! ( kind of like you just did :) )

I like where you are going with this Brother Mars :)

Tbh now there are already much fewer spammers after HF21.

It’s possible to educate newer Steemians such thing like watch videos/read posts before commenting. But maybe they are just not interested in the videos/posts whatever. Not as interested in it as in the rewards. That’s understandable, so maybe better ignore than educate those, since they don’t have interest better not to force them.

BTW: always impressed by your engagement and efforts to make steem better. Just too bad steem is currently broken. Even with apps that has huge delegation, still doesnt seem to be attractive enough to outside vloggers/commenters.

@nathanmars7 sir
This is not just a matter of dtube platform but in whole steemit blockchain, such things are seen, whose sole purpose is to get first place in the comment box so that they can get maximum profit. I do not think the problem of language matters too much because there are many such applications on the Play Store, through which can be understood in any language by making a translation. However it takes a lot of time to do this and it takes time to reply. This does not mean that we will get rid of the back but in our reply or comment, the people will undoubtedly admire and support them. It's better to come late and get better. This is a way of shortcut that many of our partners are using probably for personal gain because such people think hardly for the community. So many blogger have English as secondary language but they are doing their best. English is my second language but I do not understand the things that help with the help of translator and I try to leave objective comments. Our comments should show a sense of cooperation. Grammatic words doesn't matter only be understood in that sense; Your SP delegation and support has been done so that we can help each other and strengthen this blockbane. Such large block chains can be taken from the support and unity to the higher level.

Hello,

The biggest problem is that it forces too much. I take my case, harassment on steemit but also on Discord. I can add something else but I would not want to push it further but you must know what I am talking about. I hope he will become aware of the mistakes he makes and I wish him the best.

Have a good day

Thank you for the delegations. Thank you for trusting me. I appreciate it and I will follow you. Time to go for work.😀 Have a nice day👊

We can teach him if he is willing to improve. But infact he is not serious for it.
Our priority should not be only money,,there should be engagement.

Sure thing! Commenting with skill is not always easy, most of us do not want to write or read a book unless we are trying to win abh and paulags weekly engagement contest. Will send some support his way!

What he did, it was unknowingly. Will make him understand well. Hope he does not do such stuff again! Sorry on behalf of him!

I see many of them trying their best using English, if it is not their universal language. Will see how to help him.

Look like he is not interested to engage himself with the post first and comment thereafter. Nobody is perfect but putting the best a man can become perfect. There is no quick success and he needs to learn this.

Honestly I don’t think much will change tbh. But I guess we can still live in hope

I really feel guilty seeing this. This is not the first time and the only person doing such stuffs. And i feel guilty because as a moderator of BD community, I/we couldn't teach him/them the norms and etiquette.
Actually the problem is on their education. They are not that much educated. As English is not our first language, we have to learn it from educational institute while they are not getting it. That's why they just throw any kind of comment seeing others comment being upvoted by you or others and thinking same will happen to them.
We tried many time to contact them in discord and make them understand, but we failed to make them understand.

You're a testament to hardwork yourself, sometimes you don't need to be educated to make impact

Education obviously has an impact on human mentality.

that's too bad :(

Sorry to say my friend @urme33 these type of comments really hurt the author, without knowing what actually author is talking about.

I know sometimes we dont have time to read the post or watch the video but we want to engage the best thing we can do is to bookmark the post or mark it as favourite for later on.

I am really sorry

Oh c'mon ma,there is no excuse for such comments.
I mean your typo and your English might suck and you might write bad but your comment will make sense if you watched the content.
This dude is out of this world.
Thanks bro , I was having a bad day but this post cheered me up.

By the way,I see you undelegated me that 700 SP.
Thank you so much for this man, couldn't have stacked that Steem with my own so fast.
Cheers bro.

Wow, that was tough. I understand many people around the globe do not speak English. However with that type of commenting, I don't think English diction is the problem because I am sure he can do something about it if he wants to. To your tag's point, I think those are fake comments just trying to get attention.

I met someone here on the blockchain who does not speak or write in English. She writes in Spanish. At first I was the one translating through Google my replies to her. And then I thought maybe it is time that she also get the hang of it so I started replying in English. She took it. She still replies in Spanish but when I translate, it is a well comprehended response. Now, she a very active hunter on Steemhunt which is an English-only platform! If there's a will, there's a way. 😊

Ahhh it happens a lot many people around the platform just come and comment in order to get a small portion of upvotes but what i personally believe is it is better not to comment if you haven't watched the video....as it really feels disheartening and a meaningful comment is something which consists of anything which can be, appraisal or a feedback or a criticism or anything which either give satisfaction to the creator or it makes them improve there work, hope so one day he will also be making some valuable comments.

Many users like this clear example go by the easy way to our understanding. We have always professed that sometimes more than the vote a good comment is more important and significant for the creator of the content. Because in this way he understands and knows that his work was consumed and reviewed by whoever comments.

Here the friend probably also as it happens to many Hispanics prefer to place any comment just because they do not understand the language, we also recommend the use of subtitles in some videos to overcome these barriers that sometimes for better or excellent content that seems to pass unnoticed in plain sight of some users.
