That's a good question. I haven't seen any complaints about it. In my own case I usually only upvote my own comments if they already have at least one upvote!

lol. I would tend to vote my own comment if it has both a vote and a decent reply.. It doesn't make sense to up vote one's own "Thank you!" comment methinks.
