I've never had any direct interaction with this guy until yesterday. He made a post about forcing feeding users. You can check out the post here.
Seriously, what is wrong with that guy? He is suggesting that users unite to give away their hard-earned Steem to another user.
He doesn't just want users to loan Steem Power through Delegations, which can be recalled at any point, he wants to transfer Steem to users and let them keep it.
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with this guy?
Give away our Steem?
It is so much easier to delegate to other users and lose nothing but a fraction of your self-voting power.
Why would anyone want to GIVE another user their Steem?
Not only does he want YOU to give away your Steem he also created the @asapers curation guild which also gives away part of their post-earnings to the users they feature in their daily post.
What the fuck is wrong with him? Doesn't he understand that the more Steem Power you own, the stronger YOU are?
Why doesn't he just make his post, buy votes and keep his god-damn money to himself?
That is the name of the game, right? Max your curation rewards, self-vote and vote for the people who vote for you so you become as strong as possible.
@hitmeasap has seen the bigger picture, that is what is wrong with him.
He understands that a lot of medium sized accounts can have a much greater influence on the platform as a whole.
He understands the struggles of the newer users who post daily and get very small rewards.
He understands that the more people who own their own sliders can never have them recalled when they lose their delegations.
He isn't asking for everyone to give everyone all of their Steem.
He is looking to take a few accounts who are actively posting daily, interacting with other and powering up to the next level.
That level is the magical 500 SP mark where the account is the full owner of their vote slider.
He also isn't talking about powering up a new user who is withdrawing their account weekly.
So what is wrong with this guy, nothing, what is wrong with you?
I am making this post to bring light to this idea.
I am making this post to pledge at least 3 Steem per week to users who are selected with 450 SP but shy of 500 SP and their own sliders.
I am making this post to point out that the more medium-sized fish we have the easier it is for all of our smaller accounts to grow.
I am making this post to see if any of my followers are willing to make a public pledge of at least .1 Steem up to the 3 that @hitmeasap and I have pledged each week.
We don't need to rely on all of the takers talkers who are always talking about communities and building a middle class, we need givers who are willing to give up a little reward to build accounts who are almost at the slider finish line.
So, what say you?
Are you in?

money never stop
all time run
3 Steem per week. That's a done deal!
I love the @asapers project and I will obviously continue to delegate my steem power to the official account and to the people involved in the project... But I want to do more than that.
What could possibly be a better motivation-boost than real donations?
Delegations in all glory, they are fantastic and anyone who gives back to the community without asking for something in return is extremely generous... But they are also rare. To find a group of users who're willing to sacrifice their own rewards, to donate and empower others will probably be even harder to find... - But I know that such people exists.
You are one of them @erodedthoughts and what we've been able to accomplish in about 24 hours, since my post, is really remarkable.
@davemccoy is up to 16.5 Steem since I published my idea, and it has been that successful due to the generosity within this platform.
We will be able to create a middle-class on Steemit with the help of donations, and we've already proved that it works. Now is the time to step up the game and put in even more effort into this!
Doing it this way also means no-one has to put themselves out either. They also will more than likely gain a follower with each donation too. That follower will also have a slider at the end of the day so a follower with a vote.
It is win-win-win-win.
He sounds crazy. The type of craziness I wish more users will emulate
Sounds like an A-Hole! :)
Geez, that guy, always with the selflessness and thoughtfulness. Doesn't big pharma make a pill for that? ;)
Look at him behaving like a certain old friend of mine... People who suffer from irrational giving and unending empathy. I wonder if those swimming in Steem can dare make such bold moves :D
I am not sure I would call it empathy. I tend to do and help those I see a bit of myself in. Empathy causes one to worry about things out of their control and give to groups who take 90% of everything like the red cross, so they feel better about themselves.
I link empathy to pride as one and the same. People use your pride as a good person to invoke empathy out of you. Not the same as paying it forward. I hope this makes sense.
It doesn't. I guess we have very different understanding of what empathy is... I am just glad people are doing more to help those who came in after them.

By definition, Empathy is the experience of understanding another person's thoughts, feelings, and condition from their point of view, rather than from your own. You try to imagine yourself in their place in order to understand what they are feeling or experiencing.
There is no honest way to walk in someone else's shoes. Yes, there is a part in some which think's they may be wise enough to understand or sympathize with what others experience but there is no logical way to understand someone else's experience.
We all have different lives from birth and just because we experience the same hardships today does not mean either of us would be able to understand that hardship in the mind of the other.
That is why I associate pride with empathy. I feel anyone who feels they are able to experience what someone else is going through as though they are experiencing it themselves is experiencing a moment of pride in the truest form. Pride that you are so wise that you can experience any event as though you are the other person.
To me empathy is a fancy word used by people who feel sorry for another's experiences. I think everything happens for a reason, so it is hard to feel sorry for the life of another. Feeling bad is not what inspires me to help a fellow human.
Most will disagree but this is the thought pattern, I am coming from.
If people cannot discern between stupidity and reality..
well I guess they are just stupid ;)
Take it one Step further and donate to The Hive, and we can tackle solutions in the physical world.
This is not a donation system, this is a growth project for the growth of Steemit and it's active user base.
I could support the Hive too. What real-world changes are you making? Go on, try and sell me on your idea and keep me from using my flag button on your post/comment snipping.
I think many projects are taken under task for positive reasons.I have nothing against any of them. I see things could possibly have an alternative solution. This solution is not a specific part of society, more to change, everything!
A music community, promotes music, that is what it is there for, that is what those people know about. The same for writers, and any other genre specific community.
Charity's the same. Though with charity's there is always the need for more financing.
I see people start these projects some succeed others don't for whatever reasons. But the ones that do succeed often only succeed for a generation or two. What The Hive is trying to begin is a community funding program to invest into physical world projects and integrate these with Crypto and other expansive projects not started on Steemit, But also funded by Steem.
We see many ways we can reward contributions to an effort like this for investors and members of the platform to gain. By having some integration of projects which can complement each other over a growing range of service can be of benefit to everyone.
We do not believe in a U.B.I. like so many are getting involved in. If everyone had 1 million, the price will rise to 1 million and 1. We feel it might be better to focus on a Universal Standard of Entitlement. Certain requirements of the needs a person may have for survival can be met without additional cost to the rest. This can be done by % of the profits going toward these things, (this profit margin grows too on a yearly basis. and becomes self funding) It results in no loss of labour and provides new opportunities for individuals and communities.
We believe in building a new foundation to build business that are or would be considered to be essential for life in today's society. Possibly, remove the need for funding for other project or charity.
The ability to fulfil the needs for a project are beyond my ability to do alone.
You will have heard many times I am sure in Discord Servers or read on Steemit about the wrongs somewhere. that something is not right, Something needs to be done. That needs to change and a blame thrown out at someone or an institution. When it comes down to it. We are the ones to blame. Us who do not organise like those who will not change the things we ask for. We need to have a financial force behind us too along with our populations of many nations. Why keep funding those who will not make the changes you ask for.
It is a deep topic with many levels. While I can see it in my head and the possibilities it may hold, It needs an army of support to succeed. Just like all the others out there do. In the long term we feel strongly that this undertaking can reduce the need for as much funding from the public which tax's already pay for.
Apologies on the snipping. Thank you for the opportunity to expand my thought.
Your project sounds nice but also sounds like a never-ending need to accomplish.
What we are doing here is getting members to the next level and moving on to the next user. The idea is to make a bunch of self-sustaining members that we no longer need projects or charities as more people will have the power that they own themselves and can have influence over many more on the platform.
I am all for solving real-world problems in the real world, it is too hard to see where money is going in crypto. Power going to and staying in one account means more for platform health than money going to an account, sold and spent.
Two different ideas and two different outcomes. I will keep an eye on your project to see where it goes.
This is very vague and doesn't tell me at all what you plan to actually accomplish. If you want to accomplish concrete things in the real world, then what concrete things are you making?
lol, I thought it was just me......
An open mind to possibilities is a beginning.
I am positive, I could do a lot in the real world with everyone else's money. Anyone can, what makes the Hive special other than you saying it is? What we are asking is for the plan you intend to unroll.
As it stands you are just saying send us money, we will do good. Jerry Banfield used to say the same thing all the time, you see how that went for platform health.
Energy, Crypto Water, to begin integrated systems. other options can be taken to begin.
This doesn't make any sense or tell me anything.
You are asking no questions.
A view of how society is here A quick read, save me pasting here. Those interested can read.
That is what I would like to change, I can see that being done by the use of industries which can be considered a necessity for survival. By investing with Crypto in these industries we can bring about that balance.
active users is whats matters.
