Just for a moment but then the creep happens.
I will be awake all night thinking about that now.
Spin On! Spooky
I am an amazing sleeper, but sometimes I do wake up with a compelling urge to pray for my nation. There are so many people ignorant of history and full of propaganda and without logical thinking and a moral compass. Then I go back to sleep, knowing this world is not my home--just a rest stop along the path to eternity. And this madness is less than a semicolon in eternity.
I wish I knew. I have not been sleeping well for the past week or so and my sleep schedule is all messed up. Now I cannot sleep at night and have a hard time staying awake during the day (especially during the afternoon). I think I slept 2 1/2 hours last night . Hopefully, some energy drink today will help me stay awake until bedtime and get me going back on a normal sleep schedule.
The sound of a cricket in the house can be annoying. A symphony of them outside is fine but sometimes there's one with an irregular rhythm playing in the house lol
I won't repeat my chess poem, but playing endless games of chess is something that can happily keep me awake at night.

It use to be stress before I retired. Always thinking of the business. Now I pretty much sleep very well every day.

Too much thinking keeps me awake at night.
The only thing that has kept me up at night is problems at work. Other than that, I can fall asleep anywhere.
