Great advice. I see people who are just out to take, e.g. one who just posted a generic image with "Vote this up". Zero value and zero effort. I've got no agenda here, but I've made lots of friends. I don't expect Steemit to be my main income any time soon, but I'm making enough to treat myself. It's taken a while to get to that level. People should make it fun, so they will want to come back.

I totally agree with you that it should be fun. Approaching this like you would playing a game is a good way to enjoy what you add to the community.

Some posts will do better than others. Removing the focus from how many upvotes you got to how many people engaged with your content and ideas is the right approach and a hell of a lot more fun.
