A Swiss study has shown the shocking control of our world by a few corrupt hands. I had read of this study in the past but recently had to go back and study it again. The implications are chilling but reading the PR spin was vaguely amusing.
The Study
In 2011 a trio of complex systems theorists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich looked into the interlocking ownership of 43,060 transnational corporations. Although the topic of the consolidation of power will not be new to Steemians this data is some of the best I have seen to confirm that only a few hands are shaping our future for us without our consent!
The study which was published by PLoS One showed a tight core of 1318 companies with interlocking ownerships. Each of these core companies had connections to two or more other companies. On average the study showed they were connected to 20. These 1318 companies appeared to own through shareholding the majority of the world’s large blue chip and manufacturing firms. This represented 60% of global revenues!
Further analysis lead to the revelation of a "super-entity" of 147 companies which are deeply interconnected. The ownership of these 147 companies was owned by other companies within the "super-entity". This nexus of wealth was estimated to control 40% of the total wealth in the entire network!
This showed that less than 1% of the companies of the network were able to control 40% of the whole network. These companies are mostly financial institutions such as Barclays Bank, JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs.

These results were taken from a 2007 data set. Changes to this list have occurred in the last 11 years.

What is interesting looking at these companies is that the majority of them are financial institutions. This means that it is primarily the financial institutions which own all the other major companies that we purchase goods and services from.
How has this come to happen?
The answer is clear it is the owners of the central banks and commercial banks who are allowed to create money through fractional reserve banking which facilitates banks lending multiple times what they have in deposits.
Who Really Owns This Network Of Power?
The Swiss study did not address the interconnected personal relationships of the owners of this network. Much effort was given to spinning this study as a natural result of the open market. However we all know that is not the entire story!
Everybody knows there are some principle families on the planet who are vastly powerful. These include the royal families of Europe and the major banking families. To take this study to its logical conclusion it would be important to define just who owns the 1318 superconnected transnational corporations.
Given that these corporations own the majority of other corporations which own more than 60% of our economies it is important that we define this information. More to the point who owns these 147 companies which own each other and represent the majority of the wealth?
If what I believe is true and these core companies are owned by just a few globalist families it is very distressing. This is a clear sign that almost all facets of our lives from education to media, food to medicine, money to law are all used as lies against us. This is the only way that a few can control the many - through secrecy and ownership!
I don't think that the machinations of these elite families are to benefit myself and the people I love.
So what can we do about this?
- As nations we should demand transparency and stringent regulation of our financial systems. They should be set up for our benefit not the bankers.
- We should boycott corporations involved in this hidden control structure. By hitting their profits they will have to respond.

@jockey thanks for bringing this information to us. In 1980 I learned about the massive interlinking network of the Elite. I also found out from the former #3 man in the FBI (Cleon Skousen) that these same Elite funded and financed the Communist revolution of 1917 along with most all wars. The grief and sorrow I experienced at the time moved me to action. I went to work full time for the Freeman Institute. That lasted about 4 years. I tried to inform the public, gave speeches, wrote articles, was the front man for others more important in the work than I and got them on stages and in front of groups. In the end I discovered the vast majority of the American public just did not care. At first I was really disillusioned and angry and then I came to understand that this is human nature and that it was ridiculous of me to think they might change. This is how the Elite gain power and control: the masses are interested in things like Steemit, and soccer and home life and whats for dinner... just as they should be. And while they are busy being who they are the Elite use them for wars and money. Some few become informed, like you. And over the years more and more people have come to understand we are pawns in an evil game. I do sincerely appreciate your two action points at the end of your blog. Won't do any good. Not enough people care. And, of course the media is corrupt and spews out endless blather and propaganda keeping the public ignorant. So have I given up then? No, not at all. We did do quite a bit of thorough research into the CFR and the Trilateral Commission and international banking and the roots and origins of the FED along with much else, but our main focus was teaching people about the concepts of freedom, the Constitution, and free-market economics. The Freemen Institute morphed into another entity and is still out there, working primarily, with members of the Mormon church, who are big, generally, on the Constitution. I was LDS back in the day. There were those we associated with who were very adamant on personal sovereignty and were essentially libertarians or anarchists. Me? I guess I'd call myself a Constitutional Libertarian with great sympathy for anarchists.

I'm not at all surprised by this info. There is a website somewhere (which I can't find right now) that will show you the web of connections once a company name is put in.
It is startling how they seem to be linked to other companies that are completely unrelated.... But I guess thats why CEOs just seem to move between businesses like they are on a merry-go-round, getting more pay as they go, which in turn justifies a pay increase for the next one to fill their shoes.

This is an interesting topic. Having looked at the problem I agree that strigent regulations have to be undertaken by our various governments to control these co-operations but you forget the matter of interests. It would be in the government's interest to have these companies invest thus they'll want to keep a jovial relationship with these said companies to ensure a steady cash flow..... And who knows if their contract clause involves a part that impedes government's regulations.
@jockey, thanks for this concise, yet fascinating exposé with the accompanying data. Not only are economies owned by these institutions, but governments. Look at who is behind the European Union and who put Macron aka Jupiter on the French throne (hint: GS). As an aside, it would be interesting to see where George Soros fits in all this. On a different note, when you look at this network, it is obvious that we have to fight against globalism with all our might. I wonder how chain block technology, through its decentralized structure, and cryptocurrencies could be instrumental in countering the power of the so-called elites.
Keep doing the good work friend, we may not be able to prevent the world from going down the path that the powers that shouldn't be are pushing us toward. My hope is that by fostering a healthy interest in truth and encouraging people to look inside a bit we can at least set up a healthy community in the future to help clean up the mess. Great information in your post. I would like to give 2 points about what can be done to change this that differ from yours.
1: Money is a man made construct. It is a piece of paper it is backed by the full faith of the population. Instead of demanding a group of people who rule over the remainder of the population to make more rules, everyone needs to see that money is an illusion. If you believe in money or think it has value you inherently believe that all human effort and creativity is a commodity and should be traded on a centralized exchange. There is nothing less natural in our modern society than money.
2: ALL authority over you by another person is false. If you submit to authority of another human being you are surrendering your own sovereignty and becoming the property of some one. Just because a group of people get together and write some words down on some paper somewhere, doesn't mean they have anymore rights than you do naturally. You are a sovereign natural born human who enters this world with every right nature provides until you surrender them, knowingly or by being deceived. Not a single person has the right to rule (default own) another person.
If a critical mass of humanity could just come to grip with these 2 points change would happen very quickly but best of all peacefully.
