Come all ye seekers of fame and fortune. Try your hand at creating a masterful tale of fantastic realms and ferocious beasts.

Enter the inaugural Fantastic Fiction Contest and you could win everlasting fame and even a bit of fortune. Read on for the contest rules.

Rules for Fantastic Fiction Contest #1

1. You must submit an original story of your own.
2. Story should be between 500 and 1500 words.
3. One entry per contestant.
4. First tag of your entry must be #fantasticfiction
5. Your post must be titled as follows: Fantastic Fiction #1 - [Your Story Title]
6. Winners will be determined wholly by me based on creativity, originality, and quality.
7. Entry must be PG-Rated. (Mild violence ok, no love scenes--keep all that to yourself)
8. You must upvote this post to enter.
9. Once you have posted your entry, come back to this post and put a link to your post in the comment section.

Prizes for Fantastic Fiction Contest #1

1. First place will win 15 SBD plus the fame and glory of having won the inaugural contest.
2. Second place will win 10 SBD
3. Third place will win 5 SBD

Deadline and Details for Fantastic Fiction Contest #1

1. Deadline is August 21st, 2017 at 8 A.M. MST (UTC -6)
2. I'm biased toward character driven stories based on fantasy or sci-fi.
3. I reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is inappropriate--please keep it clean.
4. It would be really nice if you resteem this to get the word out.
5. Winners will be announced August 25th along with proof of payout.
