It's unfortunate that people don't have the testicular fortitude to actually look at the content and will instead just automatically downvote. There are FAR worse things and more spam-ish things on this platform besides your contests. Your contest shouldn't have been considered spam, there are plenty of folks who were starting out on this platform that entered it and won a little bit and helped themselves get started here. The concentration of power for these types of issues is frustrating, they control what content is acceptable but lots of junk is left alone.
I would switch it up and do picture challenges, meme challenges, hell even informational challenges (i.e. read up about something and post in your own words). I think your contests are beneficial to the platform, they give people alternative methods to attain rewards. The large accounts just seem to be bitter that you're spreading out rewards to anybody who enters is what I think the reasoning behind this bogus downvoting is about.
