Just a heads up: The Steemit logo is copyright / trademark protected
Any use of it requires written permission from the owners of the trademark.
The STEEM logo is public domain, but unfortunately the STEEMIT logo is not. Thought I would clarify that so you can avoid unwanted repercussions.

I have seen horror stories of infringement after a few years of freelance design. The sums that that sort of "issue" can cost are astronomical!

The rebrand was to distinguish the token (STEEM) from the company (Steemit).
• The Steemit brand is protected under international copyright / trademark laws & requires written permission for any use/purpose
• the STEEM icon, the original we have all come to know is public domain - it may be used and modified without permission and used commercially.
Where you run into trouble is when money is exchanged in any form, it skates a fine line of commercial use. Best to avoid using the Steemit logo because it's hard to say what the outcome might be. I honestly have seen a ton of people using it, but advise against it because they'll likely make someone an example at some point. 😁
