Not necessarily. People will often call the horse chestnut just a 'chestnut' - but that one is inedible. The sweet chestnut is the one that people use to cook with.
Oh, and the horse chestnut's pod is only slightly spiky, not like the spinyness of the sweet chestnut.
A fixed thing would be something I knew the outcome of, all decisions are the judge's and in the case the judge is me. In all honesty, I don't know the difference all I know is the name of the image I used and it had "Sweet Chestnut" So when I saw that in my replies this morning I had a winner. Thanks for playing :)
