Here is my interpreation of situation :
You can do a contest everyday if you want but don't boost repeating contest posts to the trending.
You need to be able to decouple the nature of post with the post boosting.

Of course I will correct that immediately that was simply a oversight on scaling. I just hadn't been watching what its to end up there. I admit that was my bad that I missed it took less upvotes than in the past. Before the last week or two I wouldn't have thought I was on tending but a handful of times.

I think , don't use bid bots on contest posts for a little bit , you already have a good following of 5k ..

Good advice. I'll definitely consider all your advice as I will from others. I do want to work with everyone to make my blog a fun place to come and comment on.
