The hope, when the drought arrives, rice plants have been fruitful or at least have grown, so relatively resistant to drought stress. Unfortunately, rice yields are often far from expected.
Therefore, rain-fed farmers also choose cere varieties of cere or hybrids that are short-lived and combined with certain planting techniques. Especially so that their rice plants still produce abundant harvest in the dry season.
