They are pretty cute, and with them, we are now up to a healthy mix of 30 birds, 11 of them are bantams. Hopefully they all winter well here in the barn in Nova Scotia. This is our second winter here after moving from the other coast and it can get pretty cold despite a pretty good average temperature.
our old banty would put her wings over the yoounger birds on the roost to keep them warm! she was awesome. We lost all but one of our birds from the flood (Harvey). 20 plus birds drowned! We may start over this spring.
Your birds are so cute!!! We loved our bantam chickens. We had her for almost 7 years. She was such a great bird!

That's a shame, I hope you do start over, they are very rewarding in so many ways. Bug control, eggs, chicken TV LOL.

STOPBeautiful little guys! We have never had bantams, but i think they may be here sometime!
They are really friendly little critters too. We just put some plastic on their window to keep them a bit warmer in this minus 20ish weather.

Just another winter in the Maritimes eh. It doesn't usually go below -15 ish for the most part though, here in our valley.
