What an marvelous curriculum, @porters. I had heard of recreational programs, summer camps and the like, but this, this is solid integration of formal schooling, lore and environmental integration.
This is the kind of initiative that should be supported and encouraged by governments woldwide. Congratulations on that amazing work. I'll be visiting your blog.
This came about from a school garden summit I went to and some of the sessions were on forest classrooms or outdoor classrooms. I live in the boreal forest so we have easy access to the forest to take the kids into their outdoor classroom for the afternoon.
