~Tpot Contest No. 18~ Wonders Of Nature!

in #contest7 years ago

Ive been a part of the Tpot Group on Discord for some time now and am FINALLY taking part of the contest that they have weekly. For this weeks contest, the theme is Wonders of Nature! After getting back from a beautiful vacation in Southern California, I have quite a few great nature pictures. This one Im going to share with you though, is my favorite. Its a tree that has been around for over 200 years! The whole city of Oceanside, California has grew drastically in the last 10-15 years. Many things have changed and many things have been completely removed. The fact that this tree still stands in a neighborhood that has brand new apartments being built at different corners and new businesses opening up non stop, is wonderful!!

Just check out the roots on this bad boy! Gorgeous!

Truly a wonder of nature, to say the least!

(All pictures were taken by me with my Samsung phone!)

That is so cool!! There are so many trees here in Playa del Carmen that have roots like that...in the middle of the roads :) I love it ! They seem to just build around them; something that is so great to see as opposed to just bulldozing them all down to build!

How awesome! I love when they just let nature be! Its so much more beautiful, not to mention, so much better for the universe!

What a big and gorgeous tree, this trees offer a beautiful view, tanks for sharing with us.😊

Youre most welcome! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Wow, what a tree. I must say I've never such in my entire life, a wonderful tree of nature indeed.

Isnt it though!? I was in complete awe of it when I seen it!

This is awesome tree ant it is definitely a wonder! I've been thinking how old is it? Does anyone know?
Brilliant photos! Thanks for sharing!

You know, I have no idea. Theres no sign about it or anything. I may be able to dig and find the answer. Its just one of those hidden gems that has been around forever. One of those gems that you dont really know about unless youve lived there for a long time.

Im so glad you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

That tree looks amazing!! It saw more things than a lot of us, if she could talk, it would for sure be a wise one :) It amaze me how long trees can live for, and I wish that there were more initiatives to preserve old trees and forests. Thank you for sharing this ‘wonder of nature’ :)

You and me both! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Those rO0ts! :) made me to find this song and I want to make a remix badly now :)

Haha! Awesome! Please do share and give me a tag! :D

Yes it is "a wonder of nature, to say the least! " the canopy spread is hugh . It doesn't really have a trung , its like the roots just grew upward

Isnt that crazy?! Im sure if it had grown like that under the road, it wouldnt be nearly as smooth! :D

So despite everything around it changing, the tree remains! Obviously that neighborhood respects elders! lol..

Anyway it is certainly something to marvel at...that buttress rooting!

Otherwise thanks for being a great part of the @asapers!

Thank you @mirrors! I was just in awe with this beauty! I wish more cities would respect their elders as well!

In the craze of expansion and beautification, and progress...few, unfortunately do.

wow @smylie2005 this tree is a real nature.
I have not seen such a root structure of such a big tree in my life. I hope you get this contest
Cheers

Thank you so much @digitalmind! Isnt it fascinating!

yes indeed. I have seen a very old tree with root surfaced but this one is quite well spread out
cheers

I have this obession with finding beauty in trees and whoa, this tree takes that to a whole new level! This is the most incredible tree I have ever seen.

I was amazed! I was out taking photographs like I was photographing a model! In my eyes, I was! I spent a good 10 minutes there, taking pictures, rounding the tree, feeling the tree! LOL The energy was magnificent!

Oh my gosh, I just laughed out loud picturing you treating it like a model but only because I would have done the same exact thing, lol. I have seriously never seen any tree so beautiful and rare like that.

Damn I'd love to have this tree in my yard ahah
Awesome.

Yesss! Me too!

Wow. Thats a really huge yet amazing tree! Nature can be so beautiful sometimes! Great capture Smylie!!
